Two-story, 480 square foot showcase inspired and collaborated with Los Angeles City Designers, Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety & The Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Why?

Los Angeles Housing Authority wanted ARCbuild to show the two-story future of relocatable, permanent housing and assist our collaboration with The Department of Housing and Urban Development for mobile home rebranding and awareness.

Specifically, they wanted ARCbuild to demonstrate:

• The elusive sub-$150,000 affordable housing unit

• Two-story build

• Relocatable units

The combination of these 3 characteristics creates the most sought-after housing solution that every city desperately wants but hasn’t been able to find.
